Split Rail
Split Rail is an ultra-condensed gothic typeface based on William Page's No. 142 designed in 1882. This revival has been re-imagined by Steve Matteson. The beveled stroke endings and flared stems impart a rugged texture akin to the angles of split rail fences found enclosing farmland and property of pioneer America. Useful for narrow headlines and logotypes, Split Rail speaks of rural landscapes and times gone by.
