Miramonte
Miramonte Pro was designed by Steve Matteson in 2006. It is an approachable sans serif design suitable for user-interface design, corporate branding and publishing. The name means ‘Mountain View’ in Spanish suggesting the open and clear letter shapes. The splayed capital ‘M’ suggests a mountainous profile. An alternative lowercase ‘a’ is provided for more formality in text. While the roman owes a nod towards Stanislav Marso’s sans serif design of 1960, Matteson’s more complete family is stylistically refined and includes a cursive style italic. Miramonte Pro includes an extensive character set for publishing Central and Eastern European languages. Its OpenType features include proportional figures, and small capitals.
