A unique Frederic Goudy type design accurately revived by Steve Matteson in 2021 and includes swash and alternative letter shapes. Initially created for Woman’s home companion Goudy wrote: “I believe Companion Old Style is one of the most distinctive types I have ever made. It incorporates features which deliberately violate tradition as to stress & curves, but which are so handled that attention is not specifically drawn to the innovations introduced.”
